Amex’s Delta Credit Cards Boast New Welcome Offers

As Americans are leaving lockdowns in the past and are feeling eager to travel again, American Express has decided to mark the occasion by introducing attractive welcome offers and incentives to their Delta SkyMiles consumer credit cards, CNBC reports.

The new welcome offers announced on June 17 feature an introductory 0% APR promotion for the first 12 months, increased bonus miles, as well as other benefits and rewards for everyone who signs up for a new card.

The no-interest promotion is a new feature. Low interest is always an excellent incentive, but customers find no-interest cards even more attractive. After the introductory 12 months expire, the interest rate will vary from 15.74% to 24.74%, depending on various factors.

The offer for an Amex Delta SkyMiles card expires after July 28, 2021.

What Amex’s Delta Cards Offer

American Express has been around for a while (it was founded in 1850!) and, in that time, it has grown into one of the largest credit card providers in the US. It’s no wonder that it has, more often than not, found itself recommended as one of the top-ranking credit cards for young adults, dining, cards without annual fees, or cards that offer a signup bonus.

Three Delta SkyMiles credit cards are affected by the new bonuses—the Gold, Platinum, and Reserve American Express cards.

Delta SkyMiles Gold American Express Card

New users signing up for this card will receive the 0% intro APR for the first 12 months, followed by a variable APR from 15.74% to 24.74%. They will also not be required to pay an annual fee for the first year and $99 after the intro period. New members will be eligible for 70,000 bonus miles and a $200 statement credit if they spend $2,000 in the first three months.

Delta SkyMiles Platinum American Express Card

New Platinum card users will also enjoy a 0% APR for the first year, followed by a variable APR from 15.74% to 24.74%. They are eligible for 90,000 bonus miles if they spend $3,000 in the first three months and earn a $200 statement credit by making a purchase within the same period.

Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card

Unlike the Gold and Platinum cards, this card doesn’t offer an intro 0% APR, only the standard rates of 15.74% to 24.74%. It does, however, offer 80,000 bonus miles and 20,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) if a user spends $5,000 within their first three months. A $200 statement credit will also be included if a purchase is made within the first three months.
